The renowned restaurant guide Gault Millau Austria praised the five-star superior Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol highly in 2016 too. Two toques are confirmation of the excellent work by Chef de Cuisine Mario Döring, who has been in charge of the kitchen since 2013. The apprentices at the luxury hotel in Seefeld also managed to win well-deserved awards during a contest of the best apprentices.

Gault Millau Austria attested to the “high degree of culinary art, creativity and quality” of the Interalpen cuisine”, praised “a very clear, precise culinary style” and awarded an incredible 15 points and two toques.
“And the winner is ...” – apprentices at Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol
Experienced chefs, such as Mario Döring, know that only the best training guarantees future cuisine performance at the highest levels. Two apprentices won the exclusive Amuse Bouche competition 2015. They took part at the gala evening at Vienna City Hall with 20 selected Austrian top hotels and won the "8. Competition of the top apprentices".
The Interalpen-apprentices are among the best in the Austrian hotels, even in 2013 they won the competition. The winners waving exclusive taster work stays. Congratulations!
So high, so good: haute cuisine at the restaurant near Seefeld
For a long time, haute cuisine was perceived as an arty, snooty form of cuisine religion without any relation to reality. It is excellent to see a trend towards regional, refined cuisine that focuses on the quality of high-class products and does not reject prevailing local influences.
