Tyrolean folk theatre: ‘The Broken Jug’

‘You need nothing but feet to stumble’, says Kleist's infernal comedy "The Broken Jug". A public judgement day, hilarious and abysmal at the same time. In the course of this very special trial under the supervision of the court counsellor who has travelled from the city, village judge Adam, who for some unknown reason has lost his wig, has to solve what appears to be a particularly tricky case: A jug in Mrs Marthe Rull's house has been broken.
