Seefeld in Tyrol was one of the venues of the 1976 Winter Olympics and has been a popular winter sports destination ever since. The excellent cross-country skiing network with a total of approx. 258km even earned Seefeld the nickname "cross-country skiing mecca". In keeping with this, the Nordic Competence Centre is located in the town. The region around Seefeld has some of the best cross-country trails in Austria and a few of them lead right past the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. Step out of the hotel and right into the path of cross-country skiing fun, so to speak! For beginners of the sport, we recommend one of the easier routes. Insider tips for skiers
Modern lifts, guaranteed snow and many sunny days - the five ski areas around the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol are small but perfectly formed. The Bergbahnen Rosshütte, a quarter of an hour away, was even voted test winner on Skiresort.de among the best ski areas up to 20 kilometres. Ideal piste conditions not only for beginners and intermediate skiers, but also for experienced skiers who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy slopes.

Winter hikes around the Interalpen
With a total of approx. 142 km of cleared winter hiking trails, the region around Seefeld offers a perfectly developed winter hiking network, which invites visitors to explore the snow-covered winter landscape by foot. Enjoy the untouched winter wonderland and stop along the way at one of the cosy huts to regain your strength with a hot punch.

Winter activities around the Interalpen
Besides cross-country skiing, winter hiking and skiing on the slopes, the Seefeld region offers many other winter activities. At the Interalpen, for example, we have our own curling rink. Or how about snowshoeing around the hotel? Husky sleigh rides are also very popular in the Tyrol region, as is tobogganing. By arrangement, a horse-drawn sleigh will pick you up and show you the most romantic spots in the area. And when it is cold enough, Lake Möser becomes an ice skating rink.
