For hikers, mountain bikers and active holidaymakers, summer in the Alps is a dream come true. Whether on foot or on two wheels - hikes are rewarded with breathtaking views and the lakes in the surrounding area allow for idyllic tours along the shore. Feel inspired by other recreational activities as well. For example, there is a new Via Ferrata in the region. AREA 47, Austria's largest outdoor leisure park, is also less than half an hour's drive from Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol.
Thanks to an impressive 650km network of hiking trails, there is something for every kind of hiker in the region around the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. For an easier walk, hikers can look forward to a magnificent panoramic view from the Brunschkopf. Experienced hikers can climb our local mountain "Hohe Munde", treat themselves to a snack at the Rauthütte and admire the fabulous mountain panorama from 2,662m with a bird’s eye view of the Interalpen. Hikers can embark on challenging mountain and climbing tours, while leisurely walkers head for the pretty Wildmoos lake near the hotel. Route tips for every level of difficulty can be found on the TVB Seefeld website - family-friendly route recommendations can also be found here.
Mountain bikers love coming to Tyrol because the variety of trails and infrastructure is among the best in Europe. The bike trails are clearly signposted, there are different levels of difficulty, e-bike charging stations and connecting paths between the main routes. Did you know that Seebensee was voted the most beautiful place in Tyrol in 2017? This is less than two hours away from the Interalpen by mountain bike. Our second tip: Cycle on a 27km round tour of rustic huts, mountain lakes and forests to Lake Möser. For orientation, check out the tour tips from the TVB Seefeld website.
Even if you don't feel like biking or hiking, you can still keep active with us. You can reach the new Panorama Via Ferrata from the Rosshütte station (20 minutes by car from the hotel) in half an hour. There are also High Rope Courses, and Nordic walkers will find well-establshed routes to enjoy too. The numerous lakes and gorges around the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol provide places to cool down in the hot months.
Only a few minutes away from the Interalpen lies the 18-hole Seefeld-Wildmoos course, one of the most beautiful courses in the Alps - the ideal destination for golf holidays in Austria.
If you are looking for a tennis hotel in the Austrian Alps instead, the interalpen also offers indoor and outdoor tennis courts with a stunning Alpine panoramic view.
