The apprenticeship programme
Our dual training programme combines practical experience with theoretical knowledge and prepares you for a career in the hospitality industry. When training our apprentices, we place particular emphasis on warm and attentive guest communication, as well as professional working practices.
During the year, you will have the opportunity to take part in the apprentice days: These include health promotion workshops, personal development seminars and visits to our suppliers.
From the second year of your hotel training, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 6–week exchange programme at our sister hotels in Ireland.

For any questions, concerns or feedback: Our trainers and our training manager are at the heart of our training philosophy. Together, they oversee the development and skills of our apprentices. Their role is not only to impart technical knowledge, but also to act as mentors and provide support.
Whether it’s technical challenges, personal concerns or career prospects – our trainers are always there for you, ready to offer advice and practical support. With us, you’ll find not just an apprenticeship, but also a team that will accompany and support you on your journey.
No apprenticeship, but would you rather study?
Would you like to complete a degree programme and gain valuable practical experience at the same time? At the Interalpen–Hotel Tyrol, we can offer you exactly that! Thanks to our cooperation with the IST University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, the Lake Constance Campus, the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg and the FH Kärnten, you can combine your dual study programme with practical insights into the workings of a 5-star superior hotel.
Whilst you learn the theoretical foundations at university, you can put your knowledge into practice straight away at our 5-star superior hotel. In doing so, you’ll gain an insight into various areas of work, gain experience in an international working environment and further develop your professional skills.

FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions
The 5–star superior hotel, Interalpen–Hotel Tyrol, is a member of ‘Preferred SM’. Whichever apprenticeship you choose, you learn the highest standards for your future profession.
The entire portfolio of tasks is served by 13 departments within the hotel, from laundry and bookkeeping to marketing. By working in the departments and cooperating with others, you learn how hotel workflow is organised.
Your hotel apprenticeship and preferences are important to us. We help you participate in competitions for apprentices and prepare for your A-levels during your traineeship.
You can send us an application at any time. There are no deadlines for submissions or starting dates for courses. These are things we agree on together.
Would you like to apply for an apprenticeship or internship at our hotel? Send a detailed CV with a photo, letter of motivation, school–leaving exam certificates and end–of–year certificates from the last two years. If you already have some work experience, please send us a reference from your employer.

We will contact you within a week after receiving your application. In the second step, we will arrange a personal interview and then invite you to a work trial.
Are you interested in what we do, generally curious about things and a good team player? Do you like practical work and enjoy hands–on situations? Are you a good communicator and do you enjoy working with people? If so, we look forward to receiving your letter of motivation. Candidates returning to education after working in another sector are also very welcome to apply.
In addition to the planned curriculum, the Interalpen–Hotel Tyrol also stages its own training initiatives.
As a standard, our training coordinator organises seminars and trainings for specific disciplines. These can, of course, also be attended by apprentices.
During the year, you will have the opportunity to take part in the apprentice days. These include health promotion workshops, personal development seminars and excursions to our suppliers.
From the second year of your apprenticeship, you can take part in an exchange programme of several weeks at one of our sister hotels in Ireland.
The Interalpen–Hotel Tyrol and five affiliated hotels are all run by the Liebherr Group. The other Liebherr hotels are located in Ireland, Austria and Germany.
From the second year of the apprenticeship, we can help you join a 6-week exchange programme with affiliated hotels in Ireland. Benefits include additional practical experience, new contacts and a chance to improve your foreign language skills.
