Cooking with herbs: the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol herb garden
Up here on the mountain, at an altitude of 1,300 m, all plants develop a special kind of intensity. Cool nights, sunny days and fresh air allow particularly versatile flavours to unfurl. The different herbs in the herb garden include thyme, rosemary and lovage, as well as exotic strawberry mint and ginger root.
The herb garden provides herbs that artfully refine dishes while pleasing both palate and stomach for eight months a year. They are harvested in the morning to ensure that the full flavour of the plant is preserved.
