Sustainability at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol
Our understanding of sustainability
At the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol, sustainability is not a trend, but an attitude we live by. Located in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps, we see it as a matter of course to treat our environment with care, strengthen the regional economy and create fair, attractive conditions for our employees. Our aim is to combine sustainable tourism with the highest level of comfort - today and in the future.
Anchored in the values of the Liebherr Group
As part of the Liebherr Group, we share a comprehensive understanding of corporate responsibility. For us, sustainability means balancing ecological, economic and social interests - today and for future generations.
We are guided by the Liebherr Group's CSR principles, which stand for integrity, fairness and long-term thinking. This attitude is reflected in our daily actions - be it in personnel management, purchasing or the use of natural resources.
Regionality with flavour
When selecting our food, we consistently pay attention to the highest quality and responsible origin. Where possible and sensible, we use regional products - but quality always plays a decisive role, which is why we do not limit ourselves exclusively to a specific region. Fish and meat come exclusively from sustainable, certified sources. Our kitchen thinks seasonally and consciously - with short delivery routes and in close cooperation with selected producers. For our breakfast honey, we work together with ‘Ferdi's Beekeeping’ from nearby Mösern to look after over 20 bee colonies.

Energy efficiency & resource awareness
The Interalpen is powered 100% by green electricity. Energy consumption is continuously measured, analysed and optimised - for example through modern building technology, intelligent lighting control and heat recovery. Water consumption is also systematically reduced through efficient technology. Disposable plastic is largely avoided and paper is deliberately saved or replaced by digital solutions.

Employee well-being & social responsibility
A sustainable hotel business includes social responsibility. Among other things, the Interalpen offers its team high-quality staff accommodation, free catering, further training opportunities and above-average remuneration. At the same time, we support charitable projects and maintain long-term partnerships with social organisations in the region.

Sustainable mobility
Guests can hire e-bikes or charge e-cars directly on site. We also encourage travelling by public transport and offer a shuttle service. Several charging stations for electric and hybrid vehicles are available in our underground car park: two with 64 amps and four with 16 amps - for convenient and environmentally friendly charging during your stay.

GreenSign Hotel - Level 4
The Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol has been awarded the GreenSign seal at level 4 - one of the highest honours in the German-speaking world. Among other things, management, environmental and energy efficiency, purchasing, mobility, social responsibility and regionality are tested. The label stands for holistically sustainable management and is regularly evaluated.

GreenNight-Label
GreenNight rates hotels based on their contributions to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Interalpen scores highly for its use of green electricity, regional food, sustainable supply chains and fair working conditions. A clear visualisation on the GreenNight website shows how specifically our hotel contributes to sustainable development.

VERIFIED™ Responsible Hospitality
This internationally recognised award was developed by the Forbes Travel Guide together with sustainability expert Hervé Houdré. It confirms that we implement comprehensive measures to protect the environment and employees and to involve the local community. The badge stands for the highest standards in the field of sustainable luxury hotels - and makes responsible travel even more transparent for guests.

Goals for the future
Sustainability at the Interalpen not only means consideration for the environment and resources, but also respect for people and traditions. Our guests not only experience first-class comfort, but also a hotel that is run with responsibility - for the region, for the future and for the good feeling of doing the right thing.
Our aim is to continuously develop sustainability at the Interalpen - measurably, honestly and transparently. From CO₂ reduction and internal training to active communication with our guests - we are travelling this path together. For an alpine future that lasts.
